KALUMBA

The Zwack family boasts over 200 years of expertise in herbs and spices. During their continuous research, they discovered the rich herbal and spice culture of Madagascar, which inspired Kalumba. Madagascar is one of the oldest islands in the world, with a unique flora and fauna where 90% of its wildlife is endemic.

Kalumba Madagascar Gin is named after one of the first recorded herbs in the world, the calumba root. It is available in four product variations:

KALUMBA MADAGASCAR SPICED GIN

Kalumba Spiced is a next-generation spiced gin, aged in oak barrels with dried figs. Its unique character comes from seventeen wild spices sourced from Madagascar and Africa. We recommend enjoying it on its own, chilled, or on the rocks with ginger.

KALUMBA MADAGASCAR WHITE GIN

Kalumba White is an exceptionally pure dry gin dominated by citrus flavors and aromas achieved using cubeb pepper and lemongrass. Its taste reveals a refined spiciness alongside juniper notes. We recommend serving it on the rocks as a gin and tonic.

The brand's trademark is the ring-tailed lemur, an iconic animal of Madagascar.

In 2019, Kalumba won a silver medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) held in England.

In 2020, it won a gold medal in the gin category at the World Spirits Award (WSA) competition.

KALUMBA MADAGASCAR MANGO GIN

Kalumba Madagascar Mango Gin is a tropical-inspired gin with the natural flavor of mango and pink peppercorn.

KALUMBA MADAGASCAR BLOOD ORANGE GIN

Kalumba Madagascar Blood Orange Gin is a fresh, citrusy gin with the natural flavor of blood orange and myrtle distillate.

In 2023, the two new flavors won the "Innovation of the Year" award in the beverage category at the Inno D’or competition.

KALUMBA MADAGASCAR MARACUJA GIN

Kalumba Madagascar Gin is crafted using herbs and spices sourced from Madagascar, one of the world's largest islands. These unique botanicals make Kalumba truly exceptional.

Kalumba gins are distilled in small batches using traditional methods, drawing on Zwack's over 200 years of expertise in herbs and spices.

Maracuja, the hidden gem of the tropics, offers an exotic flavor profile that is complemented by wild spices from Madagascar and completed with a hint of lemongrass. The result is a gin waiting to be discovered!

We recommend enjoying it as a gin and tonic.
