The Lánchíd Brandy was first bottled in 1949 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Chain Bridge's construction. Just like the iconic Chain Bridge itself, the brandy represents a chapter in Hungarian history, a symbol whose paths intertwine.
70 years later, in 2019, the Lánchíd Brandy was revitalized with premium quality and appearance to honor the 170th anniversary of the Chain Bridge's construction. The revived brandy is a true specialty, blending tradition with innovation.
The foundation of Lánchíd De Luxe Brandy is an excellent 7-year-old French premium grape distillate, matured in oak and chestnut barrels. Barrel aging enriches the brandy with tannins and vanilla aromas, while the chestnut barrels round out and harmonize the flavors.
This double-barrel-aged distillate exudes a light elegance with notes of chestnut honey and tea flower. Its chocolatey flavor is complemented by a rich vanilla undertone.
We recommend enjoying it neat at room temperature. It also makes an excellent base for a Budapest Sour, paired with Unicum Plum, or simply mixed with green tea, ice, and lemon for a refreshing summer cocktail.
